Hi,
I have a client who is quite impressed with OpenERP running web client, but has requested me to re-style it according to the company's standard l&f, which includes removing the footer and replacing the login page.
I tried contacting Tiny twice seeking advice but no one has responded. Has anyone else know how to get a commercial license?
Thanks. |

I guess that you can do most of what you want with the current eTiny license. Don't you ?[/quote]
No, OEPL disallows the exact things that I wanted to do. You can find the license here:
http://doc.openerp.com/license.html#license-link
Up until today, I have not yet received any feedback from Tiny. |

This is really unfortunate. This is the first I've really investigated the web client licensing, and it does not seem to be in the same open source spirit as the rest of the project. _________________ --phil |

Woww, this license is a surprise! It isn't a widely advertised "feature" of OpenERP...
Probably they don't want others to make re-branded SaaS solutions. |

But there are no 2 companies in the world runs their businesses exactly the same. I don't mind paying for a commercial license for something as good as OpenERP, but it is really hard to contact Tiny.
I may need to look at other solutions, which is rather unfortunate... |

The eTiny licence allows only few changes unless you buy a commercial licence.
see http://doc.openerp.com/license.html#license-link:

Tiny.be philosophy, as far as i understand is to be rather open to customers needs. i am sure you can arrange an agreement about a commercial licence. unfortunately you can not buy this item in the shop by now. so please continue your contacting tiny.be
kind regards

Fabien,
I sent you an email last Sunday to that exact address to inquire about cost.
Let me know if you didn't get it.
If it helps you find it in your mailbox:
